Dutch Flat Mates (Nabner)

(Published on 20. December 2023, 11:30 by goodcity)

Since Flinty is not back this week, I made a new Dutch Flat Mates puzzle. If you are interested in the serie, you can find the others here.

Normal sudoku rules apply.

  • 5's live in Dutch Flats : All 5's in the grid must strictly have EITHER; a '1' directly above it AND/OR a '9' directly below it. It may have both, but it doesn't need both.
  • Nabner line : Digits cannot repeat on a golden line, and lines cannot contain consecutive digits, regardless of order.

The puzzle is available online via CTC-App

Solution code: Row 5

Thank you for this wonderful contribution to the Dutch flat mates series, goodcity! The puzzle really was tricky and made me learn some new things about Nabner lines. I think they go very well with the Dutch flat mates constraint. Superb setting!

Agreed with others that this was trickier but I love nabner lines so I really enjoyed it.

Absolutely a worthy entry to the series. It's a bit more complex than other entries but if you have any experience with Nabner lines at all, this will all unfold smoothly.

An excellent addition to the series. Thank you. :)
It's a tough (but fair!) nut to first crack, but as soon as you start making traction it's a rewardingly swift solve.
