EnTropic Islands

(Published on 1. October 2023, 11:27 by Paletron)

Rules:
  • Normal sudoku rules apply.
  • Low digits (1, 2, 3), middle digits (4, 5, 6) and high digits (7, 8, 9) are defined as different entropy groups. Orthogonally connected cells of the same entropy are entropic islands. Digit in a circle indicates the size of the island. Islands can have multiple circles.
  • Arrow points to a smaller digit.

I feel a little late to the party on this one! Beautiful idea and well executed

Little easy once you got your head around all logic! But verry original concept!

Great logic, nice alternative dimension added to the basic sudoku. Thanks for sharing.

Great and fun puzzle ! Enjoyed how it starts off easy to demonstrate the basics of the rules, then increases in difficulty afterwards. Quite approachable once you grasp the mechanics of the region building. Highly streamable/watchable stuff here ;) Thanks !

Great puzzle! The island building was so much fun. Thank you

very fun! I've seen this kind of region building logic with parity but doing it with entropy makes things really restrictive in a fun way. It's amazing how much you can deduce from just the circles!

Fantastic puzzle with several really interesting deductions!

Incredible puzzle.

Very nice puzzle. Liked how some of the entropic groups remained unresolved until the very end to make coloring the grid all the way through not only fun but also meaningful.
