Ichidoku [Ichimaga/Sudoku Hybrid, Region Sum Lines]
(Eingestellt am 29. September 2023, 18:45 Uhr von Malrog)
I've worked on this, on-and-off, for 8 months, from when I first encountered Ichimaga, and was delighted by the genre. I highly recommend checking it out, if you haven't already done so. I think the hybrid works well, and could be done with any type of line variant (for example I made a 4x4 with renbans as a proof of concept). If you solve, please do let me know what you thought in the comments, thank you!
Rules
Normal sudoku rules apply.
Ichimaga: Draw some lines in the grid that travel orthogonally through centers of cells. Each line must start and end in circles, and may not turn more than once. Different lines may not overlap or cross each other except being joined at circles, and all lines and circles must be connected together to form one network. The digit in each circle indicates how many lines are connected to it.
Region Sum Lines: Each line is a region sum line. Digits along the line (including the circles) sum to the same total in every sudoku box it visits, although some lines may stay entirely within one box.

Really nice puzzle - had to keep my wits about me with the combination of clues: some really neat interactions there.

It was really fun being able to be an initial tester for this puzzle. It was quite astonishing that this rule set could have a unique and logical solution using only circles for clues! Definitely a tricky puzzle, but well worth the effort to solve.
