Divide the grid into regions, each consisting of nine orthogonally connected cells. Each row, column and region must contain the digits 1-9 once each.

The numbers inside the killer cages do not repeat. One or more regions may appear within a killer cage. Different regions occupy the same amount of cells inside each killer cage.

A white dot joins consecutive digits. Only ALL possible white dots INSIDE REGIONS are given.
A black dot joins digits in a 1:2 ratio. Only ALL possible black dots ON REGION BORDERS are given.

Would rank this higher than 3 stars; but it was great fun, and smooth sailing after the initial difficult break-in!

Can you clarify the rule: Different regions occupy the same amount of cells inside each killer cage.

Does this mean that if I have a region and it only enters 1 cell of a cage, then all other cages it enters (if any) can only take 1 cell?

Or does it mean if region A takes 2 cells in a cage, then region B must take the other 2 cells. And similarly if region A takes 2 cells, then I can't have region B take 1 cell and region C take 1 cell.

---------

Your second understanding is correct. I will look into creating an image that makes it easy to understand the rules.
