If two cells are just a single King's move apart, their digits may be the same if otherwise allowed.
Standard Sudoku and quad rules apply: the digits in a circle must appear at least once in the 2x2 square around it.

The break in was stunning, as was the similar reasonings in each box, but the way you dance around the grid at the end is so satisfying.

Very pretty patterns! I quite like puzzles like this that sort of support and reward a form of controlled bifurcation to gradually reduce the solution space symmetrically. That differentiating 57 quad was a particularly clever choice.
Also, this may be my new favourite puzzle title
