Kropki pairs rules applt.
Cells separated by a white dot are consecutive, cells separated by a black dot are in a 1:2 ratio. Not all dots are given.
Still Life rules apply.

- A CIRCLED cell's digit indicates the number of cells that are in the SAME state as its own in its neighborhood, INCLUDING its own cell.
- A SQUARED cell's digit indicates the number of cells that are in a DIFFERENT state from its own in its neighborhood (therefore not including its own cell).

Totally agree with kafkapharnaum! It definitly looked easier than it actually was. Very well done for your first puzzle in this style!

I had completely missed that you had published this one here! Loved testing this, and especially loved seeing another setter create a puzzle with the Still Life ruleset. Very well done using it, clever use of given shading and of some tricky, pretty advanced combos -- thank you so much for creating it! :D

Hardly breathe to solve it. Incredibly.
