Rules
- Normal sudoku rules apply.
- Shade some cells so that all shaded cells are orthogonally connected and all unshaded cells are orthogonally connected and no 2x2 area is fully shaded or unshaded.
- Orthogonally adjacent digits in the shaded area must have different parities (odd / even).
- Cells containing a red cage with a small clue in the top-left corner are shaded:
- The clue indicates the amount of shaded cells that are seen from this cell looking to the north, south, east, and west, including itself.
- Unshaded cells obstruct the view.
- The digit in a red cage indicates the amount of shaded cells that are orthogonally connected to the cage in its respective 3x3 box, including itself.
- Cells containing a black cage without a small clue in the top-left corner are unshaded:
- The digit in a black cage must be odd and indicates the amount of unshaded cells that are seen from this cell looking to the north, south, east, and west, including itself.
- Shaded cells obstruct the view.

Ruleset is a bit tricky but once you get it the solution path is very nice to follow. Some very well constructed elements. Nice work!

@wenchang I sadly cannot change the ruleset to be clearer because otherwise there would be two possibilities for the shading in r8c2 and r8c3

It's a nice puzzle! While the rule for digit in the red cage is not clear. It should be number of shaded cells in the 3x3 box. The cells prthogonally connected to the cage should be only its nearest neighbors, north, south, east and west.

I found box 1 cell 1 and box 7 cell 5-6 could be shaded in two different ways while staying within rule set.
