Regular sudoku rules apply; place the digits 1-9 in every row, column, and 3x3 box exactly once each.
White kropki dots connect cells containing digits differing by 1. Not all dots are necessarily given.
Solve online:
Lösungscode: Row 4 followed by row 5 (left to right, 18 digits, no spaces)

I don't know if I'd call it approachable, but the break-in is quite nice indeed.
