Why Romans Didn't Like Zero (FOW)

This puzzle is similar to Nothing To Add, where I explored how allowing zeroes on arrows changes things up. This time the focus is on XV clues instead.
- Normalish sudoku rules apply. Place the digits 0 to 8 in each empty cell. Digits don't repeat in a row, column or box.
- Digits joined by a V sum to 5. Digits joined by an X sum to 10. Not all Xs and Vs are given
- Digits on grey circles are odd
- Fog of War: The grid is partially covered in fog, placing digits correctly lifts it.
Difficulty
This sudoku requires you to do quite some sudoku in the mid-solve. However, based on the incredible number of test solves on the CtC discord (thanks, everyone), I still put this in as a 2 star.

A bit of tough one for me and had to restart twice. Third time I managed to kill the persistence thought that 1/9 is a legitimate possibility for a X and secondly not to forget that 0s are part of 0 to 8 :)

Probably 2 stars if I were more awake but it felt like 3 stars as I missed several obvious deductions.

I've tried 0-8 before but generally have to give up because my brain betrays me. This was great love FoW in general but its really helpful. lovely break in, flows well. I can see why you gave it 2 stars was stuck for a short spell

Never been tempted to try a 0-8 puzzle before, but the guiding flow of the FoW with the XV constraints made it a very satisfying solve.

Even though I struggle with 0-8 sudoku, I agree this is a 2 star. Very nice puzzle ^^
