Counting only even ... or even only odd?

- Es gelten die normalen Sudoku-Regeln.
- Parity little killer: Bei einer markierten Diagonale zeigt der angegeben Little Killer-Hinweis den Wert der Summe aller geraden Ziffern oder aller ungeraden Ziffern auf dieser Diagonalen an. Ein Little killer-Hinweis ohne angegebene Zahl hat den Wert 0. Werden die geraden Ziffern gezählt, tragen die ungeraden Ziffern nicht zu der Summe bei und umgekehrt. Ob der Summenwert der geraden oder der ungeraden Ziffern angegeben ist, muss von der Löser*in bestimmt werden. (Wenn keine andere Regel verletzt wird, dürfen sich Ziffern auf einer Diagonale wiederholen.)
Beispiel: Bei einer Diagonalen mit den Ziffern 1, 2, 3 und 4 kann der Parity little killer-Hinweis entweder 4 (Summe der ungeraden Ziffern) oder 6 (Summe der geraden Ziffern) lauten.
- Parity Killer-Käfige: Ziffern in einem Käfig dürfen sich nicht wiederholen. Der angegebene Wert zeigt die Summe aller geraden Ziffern oder aller ungerader Ziffern, die in dem Käfig enthalten sind. Werden die geraden Ziffern gezählt, tragen die ungeraden Ziffern nicht zu der Summe bei und umgekehrt. Ob der Summenwert der geraden oder der ungeraden Ziffern angegeben ist, muss von der Löser*in bestimmt werden.
Beispiel: Enthält ein Parity Killer-Käfig die Ziffern 6, 7, 8 und 9, kann der Hinweis entweder 14 (Summe der geraden Ziffern) oder 16 (Summe der ungeraden Ziffern) lauten.
Hier kann das Rätsel online gelöst werden:
Lösungscode: Reihe 7 gefolgt von Spalte 7, von links nach rechts bzw. von oben nach unten (18 Ziffern insgesamt)

Very nice puzzle! I found the rules easily understandable, but find it great that you took the time to write up some examples for newer solvers. It was surprising to realize how strong some of the clues are. And those "impossible" totals create a nice atmosphere.

And you are absolutely right with your observation: Although, in general, the clues give you less or ambiguous information, some of them are more restricted than they were in the usual setting.

Thank you for your comment, nunc! Maybe the idea came from the wish to build a killer sudoku with "nonsense" clues like a three-cell cage with total 1 or a diagonal with sum value 0. My starting point for the construction were the long diagonals. Then I set a clustered grid (with respect to odd and even) and tinkered about to construct a solution meeting the constraints. Figuring out which diagonals/cages could be useful clues took some more time. Today I noticed that I had put in some superfluous clues and deleted those before uploading. I do not know if your question was meant rhetoric but I hope this is kind of an answer. :)

I just came up with the idea for this rule set some days ago (I do not claim to have invented it, considering parity in the context of killer sums seems like a natural idea). I thought it might be promising and managed to create this puzzle. Probably there is more potential in this framework than I have yet understood.

As is sometimes with entropy or German whisper constraints, this puzzle splits a little into two puzzles with the separate groups. This is the first puzzle that I have set with the given rule set. Maybe I will achieve a puzzle with a little more interaction in the future. :)
