... or to just 9, though?
After the
latest puzzle from mine, I actually kind of want to give the so-called 'Chinese Whisper line' another attempt again since I want to discover more interesting potential from it that I really haven't thought about. And for this one, I attempt to mix it with another fascinating line constraint that's been used a lot recently - the 10-line.
This puzzle may be among the most intricate ones I've done so far, but I hope that the solve path will be fascinating throughout to everyone! :)
Rules:
- Normal Sudoku rules apply: every row, column and 3x3 box contains digits from 1 to 9 each once.
- Each gray line consists of one or more contiguous groups of cells, each of which sums to 10. If a gray line contains more than one group, those groups can't overlap each other. Digits can repeat along a gray line and even within a group.
- Along an orange line, two adjacent cells contain digits that have difference of
at most 2. Digits along an orange line can repeat if allowed by other rules.
(I made the gray lines thicker just to distinguish between two types of line, though unfortunately, I don't know how to make thicker lines in penpa+)
