This puzzle doesn’t have a link, feel free to skip my puzzle, it’s basically the same variant as this one.
The idea comes from MmeMagique’s puzzle.
Standard Sudoku rules applies. Fill the grid with numbers from 1 to 9 so each digit occurs exactly once in every row, column and 3x3 box.
Blacken some cells in the grid so that all colored cells are connected with each other through sharing borders. Within each block of white cells is a group of non-repeating consecutive digits starting with 1.
Blacken clues indicate the number of black cells it can see vertically and horizontally, including itself, with the white cells blocking the view. Uncolored clue is the biggest digit inside the white cell block it is in.
All possible digits are given.
Let me just say, it’s just a practice. For all non-Sudoku puzzles, i only like two.(good luck guessing which two) now i need to force myself to try to understand the appeal for other puzzles. According to the discussion with my friend, there are six types of puzzles, loops, coloring, connects, placing, region separation, word search. Exclude word search, i have a long way to go in the five. Right now, i’m in the blacken part. When thinking of the coloring puzzles, top two should be heyawake and tapa. Yinyang , no, i hate it. Cave might be the third, aquarium needs some time to think it that way. Nonogram, that’s pixel art. Within the top three, heyawake is very theory based, tapa is very much developed, so i guess i could only choose cave to work with.
Now, the interesting about cave is that there’s not a defining feature for this type. Is it the black connects and white touch borders? Or is it the black clues denotes the cell it sees? Definitely not the white clues because nurikabe. My guess is the black clues. It does not have the direction as in castle wall and yet it does work. It is also number related so my experience in Sudoku variants might just work. So in the future, i might try to combine cave with other puzzles and see how it works.
Lösungscode: Row 7 and column 7(18 digits)
