Dobblethermos

(Published on 23. June 2023, 07:15 by krtekcze)

Rules:
  • Place digits 1-7 once in every row, column and region.
  • Kropki: A white dot between cells indicates cells with consecutive values. Not all dots are given.
  • Thermometers: Digits on a thermometer must strictly increase as they move away from the bulb.
  • Dobble thermos: Each thermometer has exactly one digit in common with every other thermometer, i.e. if you take any pair of thermos, you will always find exactly 1 common digit. That common digit can be different in different pairs.

Once you get behind the idea it's a pretty straight forward solve. That the kropki dot on the CtC version is black instead of white is a little unfortunate but since it's the only dot existing it's not too bad, you just need to remind yourself that it's indeed supposed to be white.

The white dot appears on the CTC version as a black dot, which I believe makes the puzzle easier, right up to the point it becomes impossible.
