This puzzle is an ambiguous-kropki hidden-magic-square star-battle chaos-construction puzzle.
RULES
Chaos Construction: Divide the grid into nine 9-cell large non-overlapping regions. Place the digits 1-9 once each in every row, column, and region. EIGHT of those regions are orthogonally connected.
Star Battle: The ninth region consists of nine disjoint cells that act as stars in a star-battle puzzle. Each row and column contains one of those stars and the stars may not touch each other, not even diagonally.
Hidden Magic Square: There is a hidden magic square in the grid. Each cell in the magic square belongs to a different region. (A magic square consists of a 3×3 box containing the digits 1-9 placed in such a way that the sum of the digits in every row, column, and main diagonal yields the same result).
Ambiguous Kropki Dots: The gray dots in the grid represent either white dots or black dots, to be determined by the solver. Cells joined by a white dot belong to the same region and contain consecutive digits. Cells joined by a black dot belong to different regions and contain digits in a 2:1 ratio. Not all dots are necessarily given.
This is a fairly hard puzzle. I think solvers will likely rate it as either 4 or 5 out of 5 difficulty level. Solvers with experience in solving star battle and chaos construction puzzles may find it a bit easier than that.
I appreciate solves, comments, and suggestions
Solve the puzzle at Penpa+ with answer check. To trigger the answer check you must fill all the digits and delineate the region borders using green edges.
Lösungscode: Column 1 followed by Row 6, no spaces.

Monstrous. I consider myself very experienced in CC, but most of the typical region building logic doesn't work because of the disjoint region.
Don't think the geometry after magic square can be done without some bifurcation - unless you can draw out five regions in your head.
-------------------------
This puzzle is definitely a very hard puzzle. But, I assure you, it can be solved without bifurcation. The path requires you to combine techniques from both CC and star battle.
I appreciate you taking the time to solve the puzzle and post a comment.

A real mental workout for me tbh. I'm not so sure about the intended logical path after figuring out the square, but it's nice to see the strength of the stars in this one x)
