Rules:
Normal sudoku rules apply.
Sandwich: Clues outside the grid shows the sum of the digits sandwiched between 1 and 9 in that row or column.
159: Digits in column 1 indicate in which column the digit 1 is placed in the respective row. Columns 5 and 9 have the same rule for the digits 5 and 9 respectively.
Slot Machine: Each red stripe contains exactly the same sequence of nine digits in the same order. The sequence can start at any point along a red stripe, and when it reaches the bottom, it wraps around again to the top.

Took us just over an hour, and I found the logic in row 3 quite pretty

I wanted to try this puzzle before watching Simon attempt it on CtC. I really expected it to be harder, so I was pretty shocked when I solved it in just under and hour. It was a lot of fun though. I love these "indexing" type puzzles. They always feel like everything just sort of falls into place.

I solved my first puzzle on this site back in December. I don't think I've felt as much pride in completing a solution, until now. I learned about 159 indexing from following a solution on your YouTube channel. Thanks for providing English subtitles, and thanks for this elegant puzzle.
Reply: Oh wow, thank you MarthaB! It means a lot to me. :)

Very, very nice.
Absolutely minimal information given.
Definitely not a beginner puzzle: in particular, you need to be quite familiar with the 159 (indexing) procedures. Experience with sandwich puzzles helps. Experts will find this easy.
The initial setup is a bit tricky. After that, the solution path is very clear.
Reply: Thank you VitP! I agree, difficulty depends on experienced. That's why I put the puzzle on 3 star. :)

The break-in for this one is incredibly cool, I love how all the rules play a part in finding your way in! Took me 35 minutes to break in and only a further 10 minutes to solve so I'm happy with that.
Reply: Thank you very much AdamGaffney96! I had this idea for a while and finally able to find something good combining it with sandwich.
