Counterclockwise Killer

(Eingestellt am 11. Februar 2023, 15:26 Uhr von bodemeister)

This puzzle is a 1/9 indexing sudoku with a few killer cages. You can solve the puzzle here at CtC. Enjoy!

Rules:
  1. Normal Sudoku Rules Apply.
  2. Indexing: For each row, the digit in column 1 indicates the position of digit 1 in that row, and the digit in column 9 indicates the position of digit 9 in that row. Likewise, for each column, the digit in row 1 indicates the position of digit 1 in that column, and the digit in row 9 indicates the position of digit 9 in that column. For example, 4 in R1C9 would force 1 in R4C9 and also force 9 in R1C4.
  3. Killer: Digits in cages enclosed with a dashed border must sum to the number indicated in the top corner.
  4. Anti-Ratio: Digits separated by a black diamond do not form a 1:2 ratio.

Lösungscode: Row 3 followed by row 6

Very nice puzzle!
Some interesting interactions between the cages and the indexing, and an impressive minimal grid.

Thanks for solving! A little bit of a pity the Anti-Ratio (or another similar rule) was necessary. But I thought the solve was interesting enough to warrant a publish.

Again a wonderful puzzle with your brilliant and often hidden logic! Part of this I recognized also in the unlucky killers puzzle. Your intended way is even more beautiful as I recognized myself and with your teaching I'm sure I will be accomplished one day ;). Excluding digits on my way is often the brutal try and error variant ... . And in my experience the underrated puzzles are those with the most jewels to find. Looking forward to your next masterpieces!

Very difficult puzzle for me. I kept making incorrect assumptions. Thanks to bodemeister for setting and sharing this one ... and a huge thanks to the coaching/hints he shared, to get me to this Easter miracle of finally solving this one (probably 7 restarts and at least 8 hours). Whew!

@Ryx Thanks for solving my puzzle and for the kinds words! Glad you persisted and made it through.

First time doing a nontrivial indexing puzzle, and that was rough... but I made it through in the end. Thanks for the puzzle!
