Nice little puzzle - I'm a fan of ones with negative constraints.
I didn't see any issue with the lk as others noted, I found it made the disambiguation quick at the end (I coloured first)

mrgadget, AstralSky, thank you both for trying the puzzle! I double-checked: the puzzle is not broken, and the LK clue is indeed necessary. (This also matches what zetamath found when streaming it.)
