Intro
For this Hybrid Star Battle Series I will be sharing a new puzzle each week combining Star Battle with another puzzle genre. This week's genre is Chocolate Banana, a fun name for a very fun genre. This shading reminds me fondly of Nurikabe Star Battle, but here it's not clear from the start just how many shaded regions there are.
Rules
Standard Chocolate Banana and nearly standard Star Battle rules apply.

8x8 2-star Example (Penpa+ link):
Solution code: For row 8 and column 8, give * for a star, and the width of each set of shaded cells. In the 2-star example, the code is 1*1*22*1*.

Thank you for the puzzle. I really love when there are two different rulesets and I have to consider one and the other while solving. Unfortunately here it is not the case. It is a quite easy Chocolate Banana and when I solved it, then a very easy Star Battle. Maybe I did not notice something but I did not need the Star Battle rules to solve the Chocolate Banana. And it was the same with the two examples. I am still very thankful for the puzzles - just maybe these two rulesets does not work together so well.
