Absolutely magnificent. I recall doing another puzzle by Magnus with a similar ruleset and that was also absolutely magnificent. There are a lot of deductions to be made, but none is tortuously difficult.

Awesome! Very smooth and flowing solve, although I did have huge problems initially due to being too lazy to read the rules properly at first. With all the correct rules in mind it flows beautifully throughout!

very cool, but somehow very hard for me, thanks!

This was one of the most exhilirating and tense puzzle solving experiences I've ever had. Thank you.

This is one of my all time favorites. Had the experiences of feeling the puzzle must be broken because there couldn't be a solution, and feeling the puzzle must be broken because there are multiple solutions, and then proving myself wrong each time.
Looking forward to the 30x30 fog version of this ruleset next!

This was the first 5-star puzzle I completed without any help. This is a masterpiece!

Amazing puzzle. Loved the break in. It is definitely important to note that sudoku cells along the edge of the grid are NOT considered interior. Once I came back to check the rules on that it flowed very well.

A masterpiece! Incredible idea, really well-executed with plenty of fun logic throughout. Thanks so much for setting it :-)

Absolutely loved this puzzle (and not just because of a personal bias toward deconstructions). Figuring out how the extra freedom of layout impacted the FilloSudokumino logic was really fun, and there were lots of great "aha" moments throughout.

Beautiful puzzle! Loved it from start to finish!

Excellent puzzle ! It made me smile when I saw this puzzle pop up in the list the other day, because I had thought about this ruleset just the day before and I remember thinking : "How cool would that be if Magnus were to get the same idea and got his hybrid sudoku/fillo to play with a deconstruction grid ?" Well, ain't that a treat to get the puzzle you had on your wishlist instantly ! Had to wait for a quiet evening to savour it :)
The beginning and bottom right part of the grid were the peaks of the puzzle for me. And the great chain of rewards after that was the fireworks before the penpa fireworks. Thanks !!

Really fun and beautiful puzzle, thank you! I enjoyed this one more than the original :)

Despite of the well telegraphed break-in, still 4⅔ difficulty for me. Loved the intricate logic in the bottom-right especially.

Rule clarification: All cells along the edge of grid must belong to the fillomino. I made the mistake of thinking that non-fillomino cells are those that are not adjacent to any non-sudoku cell.

Great follow-up puzzle, which I really enjoyed testing.

Absolutely wonderful puzzle, one of my favourites. It was filled with so many clever deductions. I agree with the other comments about the difficulty and rated it 4 stars myself. It took me a long time to solve overall, but I never had too much trouble finding the next step. Thanks Magnus!

Really fun, and I agree with your assessment of not too difficult as well. However, the hardest parts of the puzzle to me, surprisingly, were after the locations of the 9 boxes were determined, but still nothing too bad, and just a fun solve throughout. Thanks!

A work of beauty! So many surprising and satisfying deductions, and the Fillomino geometry feels magical. This puzzle really does justice to the original, which was already insanely good.

Question: does a cell on the grid border count as an interior sudoku cell assuming it's surrounded orthogonally by either border or other sudoku cells?
----
No, an interior Sudoku cell must have other Sudoku cells on all four sides. The edge of the grid does not count. /Magnus

Astonishing puzzle, immensely fun to solve!! The deconstruction works perfectly with your initial concept and I enjoyed this one even much more than the original. I agree on 4/5 even though it's long. Thanks a lot Magnus!

This puzzle combines my Chaos FilloSudokumino ruleset with the Sudoku deconstruction concept invented by Jay Dyer. I think the result works very well and I hope you will enjoy it as well.
While quite a long puzzle and definitely harder than the original Chaos FilloSudokumino, there shouldn't be any really hard steps. Still, I would rate this as high end 4 stars difficulty and it will most likely be uprated to 5 stars difficulty in the end.
Good luck and I hope you will like the puzzle!
