Intro
For this Hybrid Star Battle Series I will be sharing a new puzzle each week combining Star Battle with another puzzle genre. This week's genre is Yin-Yang, which (like Star Battle) lends itself nicely to a combination of global and local deductions.
Rules
Standard Yin-Yang (using shading instead of circles) and Star Battle rules apply, plus one extra rule each.
Links
0-star Example (illustrating the Yin-Yang region logic) (Penpa+ link):
2-star Example (Penpa+ link):
Lösungscode:
For each row, give the shading of stars in the row; 1 for a shaded star and 0 for an unshaded star.
In the above example, the solution code is 1010010110111000.

Thank you, very enjoyable puzzle, and also the two types work very well together. I will sit down every Sunday to 'watch' your series :)

I think the regional Yin Yang variant on its own is a cool idea with a lot to offer, but combining it with Star Battle - chapeau! Thanks for the idea and the puzzle! I am really looking forward to this series. :)

Amazing and approachable puzzle! Btw there's an error in the instructions for the solution code (the text prior to "For each row" should be deleted). Make more of these :)

Remove unnecessary overlap rule, thanks for the pointers polar and KNT

In the rules: "Stars may not overlap the loop or the clues." I think this is a remnant from the previous puzzle?
Also, in the rules in the link,
"Place stars into some cells such that each row and column contains exactly the number of stars given in the top right corner.", I don't think there are numbers in the top right corner of the regions.
