Tetrisudoku

This puzzle was a gift for Andrewsarchus for Secret Satan (Secret Santa, but with difficult puzzles) this Christmas, and he really enjoyed it. I hope you will too!
The break-in is the trickiest part of the puzzle, it becomes easier afterwards.

RULES:
- Standard irregular sudoku rules apply: Fill each row, column, and region with the digits 1-9.
- Digits along the thermometer have to increase from the bulb to the tip.
- Play a game of Tetris in the grid. Place the tetrominoes located on the right side of the grid into the grid one by one, starting from the topmost one. The tetrominoes have to enter the grid at the top of the grid (at any place) and be moved downwards through the grid only moving down or sideways, and never outside of the grid, until they land on the bottom of the grid or a previously placed tetromino. The tetrominoes may not be rotated. Sliding is allowed. Filling a row of tetrominoes does not clear that row.
- Every tetromino of the same shape are clones of each other (even with different orientation), and have to contain the same digit in the same relative position within the tetromino. The I, O and S tetrominoes are rotationally symmetrical, so their orientations are at least partially ambiguous (e.g. if one of the two lying I tetrominoes contain the digits 1234 from left to right, the other may have the digits placed in the opposite direction, i.e. 4321).

Goodness, these Secret Satan puzzles are no joke -- reminds me of the Santa from Futurama haha. I was confident in my Tetris ability, but the sudoku part was a nightmare, made me question everything! I admit having relied on intuition for some digits and thank goodness it was correct; and even then, this is still probably one of my proudest solves :O

Since the tetriminos are falling down, it would be much more intuitive if the right side list were reversed so the bottom one is the first, instead of the top one.

I will say I think it is very clearly a 5 star puzzzle, but also a brilliant puzzle. Very well spent couple hours

"Filling a row of tetrominoes does not clear the row" is quite possibly my favourite ruleset sentence ever haha. Really fun & original puzzle thanks :)
