Standard sudoku rules applies. Fill the grid with numbers from 1 to 9 so each digit occurs exactly once in every row, column and 3x3 box.

Digit in the circle is not only the sum of the digits on the line, but is also the largest digit in the next three digits in the arrow direction, starting from the cell after the last cell of the arrow. If there’re less than three cells after the arrow direction, then it’s just a normal arrow.

This is probably the first time i put a sudoku trick trap in my puzzles. It is kind of effective, in some way, if you actually know the trick and not careful enough. The main thing is that i’m just not good at calculation structure. It’s too hard to come up one and too hard to prove it single solution. So i need a way to get around calculation. Calculation is strange. It’s hard to make one but easy to solve one. It’s hard to make layers of calculation because it’s much easier to group them together for a big calculation. And usually only the big calculation gets the attention. Problem to be solved another day, i suppose.

As for this puzzle, i was thinking how to combine outside clues with inside clues. One way is making the outside clues another layer of row and column and use the inside clues outside. The other way is making the inside outside, using inside clues starting point as the outside clues starting point. It’s more flexible, but harder to construct. After all, not every inside clue has a nine cells for a starting point. The flexibility for the starting point trade the flexibility for the combination.
