[Fog of War Series] 14. Self-Inclusion
(Eingestellt am 23. Dezember 2022, 07:28 Uhr von AstralSky)
Self-Inclusion.
- Digits that form an Little Killer sum must include both digits that form the sum on its diagonal.If the sum consists of two same digits, that digit must appear at least twice on the diagonal.
- Arrows: Digits along an arrow must sum to the attached Circle/Pill. The digits in the circle must appear somewhere else on the arrow.
- For Double digit arrows,the Pill is always two horizontally connected cells,reading from left to right. All arrows don`t branch, and the only time they intersect would be an arrow tip share a cell with another arrow.Each arrow(including circle/pill) is fully contained in two boxes.All arrow circles/pills have only one line.
- When the Arrows occupy a cell on a given Little Killer diagonal, that mutual cell digit must be present in both Arrow Circle(or Pill) and the Little Killer sum. Note that such mutual cells can be simply a part of a pill.

Not difficult to solve. I ask me why the digits on the diagonals should be needed- the given 17 and maybe the left upper arrow are sufficient ... .

Very poorly conceived puzzle. Absolutely unclear rules which have to be read several times and still don't give clarity. Not fun to attempt this.

Clarification

For the sake of clarity, I would update the rules about arrows to say that arrows INCLUDING THEIR CIRCLE/PILL are fully contained in 2 boxes. That will remove the potential for a pill to be in, say, box 6 with its arrow in boxes 8 and 9.

Thanks for the suggestion

Thank you for the nice puzzle, there were some very interesting pieces of logic. I had a hard time fully understanding what was possible and what wasn't for arrows though (I read the CTC rules, which are not as clear as the rules written here).

So a Little Killer always has a 2-digit sum?
>>> yes.
