Incomplete Squares [Arrow Lines Sudoku]
(Eingestellt am 11. Februar 2023, 02:24 Uhr von SimplePurpleFrog)
Rules:
- Normal Sudoku rules apply.
- Arrow lines:
Each purple line consists of one or more arrows, each cell along a line is used by one and only one arrow, all arrows on a line face in the same direction along the line, arrows do occupy adjacent cells (they do not overlap, there is no gap between arrows), if other rules allow, digits may repeat along an arrow line, or indeed along any arrow.
Example: if the first arrow occupies the first three cells of a line (first is the circle), the next arrow will start with its circle in the fourth cell of the line.
- Arrows:
The digit in the circle (the first digit) is the sum of the digits on the arrow (the other digits). A full arrow may be 2 cells long or more, including the circle. All valid arrows in regular arrow sudoku are valid in arrow-line sudoku.
This puzzle is part of a pack:
- Train of thought: a medium-hard puzzle.
- Incomplete Squares: a hard puzzle, hopefully fun, with one particular flaw: a long look ahead chain, which v2 removes.
- Incomplete Squares v2: a hard puzzle, hopefully fun, maybe pretty?
- And a ghost - the last puzzle in the pack might take forever to be created as I can't seem to be able to wrap my head around the intended puzzle design.

Below is an example 6x6 arrow-line sudoku both unsolved and fully solved.

After cracking the tough opening, it resolves beautifully. Very enjoyable constraint; I hope to see more such puzzles in the future. Thanks SPF!
