Learn the Alphabet: P is for Position Sums

Rules:
Normal sudoku rules apply. Digits in the first and second cell from the top and from the left are A and B. Clues outside the grid tell something about A and B: The clue closest to the grid gives the sum of A and B. The sum of the digits on positions A and B from that side is given in the clue in the grey bar.

The ctc solution check does not seem to work. the code I submitted was correct at least. :)
Reply: There have been some issues with the solution check on sudoku with non-standard grid. It might have something to do with the web update.

This was a great introduction to this style of puzzle for me. Once I wrapped my head around how the clues worked I found the solve path to be very smooth and enjoyable with some exceptionally clever logic. Thank you very much for sharing!
