Logging Camp
This is a mash-up of a
Tents puzzle and Sudoku.
If you enjoy this, please check out my other Tents mashup,
Campground Sudoku.
Rules
Normal Sudoku rules apply. Place the digits 1 through 9 in each empty cell. Digits must not repeat within the same row, column, or box.
Cells with a filled gray circle must be odd. Cells with a filled gray square must be even.
Set up a campground according to the following rules:
For each tree, shown by the green circles, place a tent in an orthogonally adjacent cell to form a pair. Each such pair of digits must be consecutive.
Cells that are either orthogonally or diagonally adjacent may not both contain tents.
The values outside the grid show the sum of digits in cells that contain a tent for the corresponding row or column.
Note that it is permissible for trees to be adjacent to multiple tents and vice versa, though each tree is paired with just one tent.
