- Weiße Quadrate trennen zwei Zahlen, die in einem Verhältnis von 3:1 stehen.
Jede der Zahlen kann ein-, zwei- oder dreistellig sein. Die Zahlen werden immer von links nach rechts und von oben nach unten gelesen, in einer Linie mit dem Quadrat, das die beiden Zahlen trennt.

Great puzzle! Yet it seems that the "never-seperating" rule can be removed...?

manushand: So glad you enjoyed the puzzle! Yes, @MonsieurTRISTE, it may be a rather unnecessary rule, but a tester suggested that it be stated anyway for clarity. The rule is meant to indicate that, for example, the cells R1C8, R2C8, and R3C8 are not a three digit number that is one of the numbers in a relationship with the number whose first digit is in R4C8.

I'm not sure I understand the rules: is 4:12 an example that works (the colon stands for the black square)? So, the number of digits must not be the same on both sides of the black square?

manushand: Yes, @nunc -- 4:12 is a very good example of three adjacent cells in a row (or column, read top-down). Another example would be: 12:36.
