When read left to right, top to bottom, they contain
(Row Number, Left Crust, Right Crust, Sandwich Sum) - The sandwich sum may be one or two digits, and is the sum of the digits in the indicated row, and strictly between the positions of the left and right crusts.
- No two recipes reference the same row.

Very cool puzzle! It was 4/5 for me personally, I broke it once because I marked something accidentally. The second time through it was much smoother and I could see what you intended. Beautiful puzzle Andrew :)

Cool ruleset. Ashamed to say I broke it twice, and then started doubting myself, the puzzle, the setter, and the rest of the world. But I saw my flaw eventually, and came out rejuvenated. Very nice.

nice idea with potential. thanks. The fact only once a row can be referred to lowers the difficulty (imo max 3*)

Rules unclear: Do "left crust, right crust" refer to the positions (columns) of the crust cells, or the digits in them?
