A smooth solve indeed. The symmetry is great and the fact I did work on my triangular numbers helped here, even if not for long.

I had an assumption that I thought must be correct but I couldn't prove it, so I left it open. Later in the puzzle I found it was incorrect so I didn't need to backtrack!

Very elegant puzzle. Made some faulty assumptions which took me literally hours to figure out, but when I did it flowed beautifully. Excellent logic.
