Urban Sprawl

(Published on 27. July 2022, 18:56 by jwsinclair)

Normal sudoku rules apply.
Numbers in the grid represent the heights of skyscrapers, and clues outside the grid indicate the number of skyscrapers visible in that row or column, looking in that direction.
Digits in cells separated by a black dot have a 1:2 ratio. All possible dots are given, including along the edge of the grid and between cells outside the grid.
On thermometers, digits increase from the bulb.

Yes, digits can repeat in the rows/columns outside the grid (but the negative constraint still applies). A sequence like 3-6-3 is allowed if there are black dots between the cells and the last digit is outside the grid.

A really intersting combination of constraints. I made it much harder for myself because of a wrong assumption about the negative contraint but got there in the end. Very enjoyable puzzle :-)

Thanks! Glad you stuck with it, and glad you enjoyed it.
