Bittersweet Candies 2 - A Regular 6x6 Sudoku Pack
(Eingestellt am 3. Juli 2022, 20:07 Uhr von Playmaker6174)
The following bag of goodies here is a series of 6 small 6x6 sudoku puzzles with some interesting stuff in them and it's also the continuation of my previous
Bittersweet Candies pack, which has recieved lots of lovely feedbacks. :)
Compared to previous series, this one has a bit higher difficulty with couples of tricks that you may need to find in some of the puzzles but this one shall still remain the joyful experience, I hope you enjoy all the treats here!
Rules: Normal 6x6 Sudoku rules apply: every row, column and 3x2 box contains digits from 1 to 6 each once.
Variants included in this pack are:
Thermometer, Arrow + Skyscrapers, Killer + Anti-king (non-touching), Multiplied Neighbors Sum, Before 1 - After 6 x Kropki and X-sum x Sandwich Sum.
As the pack goes on, the difficulty tends to increase and this criteria may be different based on everyone's opinions, but there's a subtle hidden reason why I chose this specific order of the puzzles. The overall estimated difficulty of entire pack is judged by the average of all 6 of them.
1) Thermometer : Digit along a thermometer must strictly increase from the bulb to the end.
2) Arrow + Skyscrapers : Digit along an arrow sum to the digit in the circle cell attached to that arrow. Digits can repeat if allowed by other rules, including the special below rule:
Each digit in the grid represents the height of its skyscraper, where taller ones "hide" smaller ones. Every arrow cell outside the 6x6 grid acts as skyscraper clue: an outside cell shows the number of visible skyscrapers that can be seen from its direction.
3) Anti-king Killer : Digit within a cage can't repeat and they must sum to the small number written in that cage. Cells that touch each other (i.e. a King's move away in chess) mustn't contain the same digit.
4) Multiplied Neighbors Sum : Some cells contain a circle and a small number in their corner. If a digit is placed in such cell, the sum of all of its orthogonally adjacent cells must equal to the product of that digit and the respective small number in its corner (each adjacent cell is only counted once in the sum*).
For example, if R3C1 is 4 then the sum R2C1+R4C1+R3C2 will be equal to 4x2 = 8.
* this note was added to avoid the confusion of R3C2 being counted twice in the sum from R3C1 clue, when in the actual rule it's only counted ONCE.
5) Black 1 and White 6 : A black dot shows the 1:2 ratio relationship between two cells, a white dot shows the consecutive relationship between two cells. Not all dots are given, both inside and outside 6x6 grid.
- A 'before 1' clue (B1, green highlighted) shows the sum of digit[s] before digit 1 in its row/column respective direction.
- A 'after 6' clue (A6, blue highlighted) shows the sum of digit[s] after digit 6 in its row/column respective direction.
A sum 0 may be possible for both clue types.
6) SandwiX-sums : All ? clues outside the grid are both X-sums clue and sandwich clue.
In this puzzle, each value ? will need to be deduced.
A ? clue shows the sum of the first X cells from its corresponding direction, where X is the value of the first cell. Such ? clue also shows the sum of digit[s] between 1 and 6 in its row/column.
