Nice combination ! I had a sense that the shape of the regions pointed me towards the right path in the later half of the solve. I unfortunately made a mess with some pencil marks which forced me to rewind a couple times after mid solve. Very enjoyable nonetheless !
-Reply- Thanks! Glad you enjoyed

Had the pleasure of test solving this last night. A genuinely wonderful CC puzzle that puts up a good fight, whilst remaining nice and approachable.
The rules play really nicely with each other, creating some lovely logic. Can't wait to see more of these from you, Chilly, many thanks again!
-Reply- Thanks for the kind feedback - I will certainly make some more in the future.

Thanks, great puzzle. Fancy being the first person to solve it. I was slow to spot some logic towards the end as I took ages to resolve the final configuration of regions. Before that it flowed very nicely indeed.
-Reply- Thanks Stephen :)

The border rule needs clarification. Suppose r9c9 is 7, that means r9c9 sees 7 region borders to its left. Now, if r9c8 is in a separate region (than r9c9), then does the border between r9c9 and r9c8 count as one of those 7 ?
In other words, does the cell wall pierced by the arrow also count as a border if it is one?
Yes it does - because in your example that border will be on the left hand side of that digit, in the direction of the arrow.
