Das Puzzle ist Teil einer Serie von "Nerd-snipe"-Konstruktionen, die ursprünglich auf dem CTC-Fan-Discord-Server veröffentlicht wurden. Letzten Sommer habe ich mich eine Woche lang auf die Suche nach dem Killer-Sudoku mit den wenigsten Käfigzellen gemacht. Das Ergebnis ist das vielleicht beste Puzzle, das ich je konstruiert habe: White Room mit nur 18 Käfigzellen. (Dies dürfte das Minimum sein - gäbe es ein Killersudoku mit 17 Käfigzellen, so würde das ein klassisches Sudoku mit 17 gegebenen Ziffern implizieren, das bisher noch nicht gefunden wurde; aber es wird zunehmend unwahrscheinlich, dass davon noch weitere existieren.)
Nebenher konnte ich auch den Rekord für die wenigsten Käfige auf 7 verbessern. Nachdem ich "White Room" gefunden hatte, bemerkte ich, dass es leicht für ein Puzzle mit 7 Käfigen und 18 Zellen modifiziert werden kann. Dies ist die modifizierte Version. Wer "White Room" bereits gelöst hat, dem wird der Lösungsweg bekannt vorkommen! Andernfalls wäre es gut, es zunächst selbst zu versuchen und das verlinkte Video von Simons "White Room“-Lösung später anzusehen.

Stumbled upon this puzzle, thought I'd give it a try, and I was not disappointed in the slightest! Beautiful solve, the break-in was a lot of fun to figure out and it flowed wonderfully from there!

Wow, what a brilliant construction! Oftentimes puzzles with such minimal information run the risk of requiring long chains of deductions to get anywhere, but I was blown away by how smooth this solve was. Would love to see Simon or Mark feature this one!

Out of all the puzzles that have amazed me with how minimal they are, this one is certainly the smoothest and most beautiful one. One of my all-time favorites.

This is a very impressive achivement. I completely agree with Playmaker6174. To have such a beautiful solution path with such a minimal setting is impressive.
