The last call

(Published on 18. April 2022, 17:38 by filuta)

Huge thanks to henrypijames and Piatato for testing the monstrously hard first version of this puzzle, Piatato for testing this one too and henrypijames for the title suggestion. Their feedback really made the final puzzle way better I think.
Rules

-Normal sudoku rules apply.
-Last cell skyscraper rules apply: imagine the digits as skyscrapers with corresponding height, then for every arrow the digit in the last cell in the indicated row/column/diagonal tells you how many skyscrapers one can see in the direction of that arrow (buildings are obscured by larger or equally tall ones). See also the example below.

Example: the horizontal arrow has 5 at the end of the row, so you must see five skyscrapers (in purple), the diagonal arrow has 3 at the end, so you must see three skyscrapers (in green).
Have fun solving, I will be happy to read your comments/feedback.

Simple rules and interesting logic. It was easy to make a misteke on diagonals but with careful checking eveything went smoothly :)

Such a nice puzzle! At first it seems that this constraint is not restrictive at all, but little by little it does the trick. Thanks for setting this one, Filuta!

Thanks a lot.

I can not imagine what the first version must have looked like. Difficulty definitely > 5 ... which makes this puzzle a real challenge. thanks.

I am happy to finally complete this puzzle. It was a long journey for me but it was really satisfying at the end. I would like to warn everyone to make their deductions carefully. It is very easy to make mistakes with especially the diagonal clues.

Thanks a lot for the comment, I'm happy you found the puzzle so satisfying.

Awesome puzzle! It's very impressive how cleanly it solves, given the difficult nature of this constraint. :D
