This puzzle is the sequel to the original SuDuoKu and is a little bit easier.
The SuDuoKu rules have been interesting to explore. Usually, a smaller grid means a smaller set of digits, but SuDuoKu lets you use 1 to 9. If I continue to find fun interactions, then you may see more of these.
Rules:
This puzzle consists of two 4x4 Sudoku grids (thick bordered regions) and four external cells.
SuDuoKu: Place the digits 1 to 9 in cells so that a unique set of four digits appears in each of the two 4x4 Sudoku grids, and the set of those digits appear in every row, column, and 2x2 of their respective grid (eight digits total appear within the two 4x4 grids). The remaining digit appears in all four external cells.
Here is a possible configuration:
Arrows: Digits along arrows must sum to the digit in the corresponding circle.
Cages: Digits in cages sum to the number in the top left corner
You can solve online at Penpa+
Solution code: Row 1 spanning left to right across both 4x4s (8 digits) followed by Row 4 (another 8 digits)

Very neat idea! I wouldn't say 1 star though. Probably a 2 :)
