Logic Masters Deutschland e.V.

This puzzle is combination of star battle and sudoku. It uses normal sudoku grid with killer cages.

First you need to solve the star battle part, using normal star battle rules: Fill some cells with stars so that each row, column, and killer cage contains two stars. Stars cannot be placed in adjacent cells that share an edge or corner.

These stars then transfer as numbers for the sudoku part. Which ever cell contains a star, it gets number from the row or the column it is placed.
For example if there is star on row 2 column 5, that cell is either 2 or 5.
Or if there is star on row 3 column 3, that cell has to be 3.

After you have located your stars and got the possible numbers for those cells, you can start solving the sudoku. Sudoku uses standard sudoku rules plus the killer cages. Killer cages don’t have given values, but numbers can’t repeat within the cage if its size is 9 cells or smaller.
