Blocks with Benefits
(Eingestellt am 7. Januar 2022, 02:00 Uhr von XeonRisq)
I have recently been working with Prime-Co blocks to further it's flexibility and have decided to change it's look to accommodate. Instead of a cage with a total in the top left corner, it will now be a cage with a difference circle between the two cells within. The number placed in the circle will provide the difference between the two digits.
- Rules:
- Normal sudoku rules apply.
- Friendly Cells: A friendly cell is a cell that contains a digit that matches it's row, column, or box. (For example, r5c9 would contain either 5 (row), 9 (column) or 6 (box) if the cell is a friendly cell).
- Prime-Co Blocks: Cages are to contain one Prime digit and one Composite (non-Prime) digit. The digit "1" is excluded from both the Prime and Composite set of digits and will be left out of all cages.
- The number in the circle between the two cells in a cage will be the difference of the two digits in the cage, if given.
- Each cage will contain either ALL friendly cells or NO friendly cells.

Interesting new variant ! Needs complete attention else so easy to mix up two different kinds of parity. Thanks for the puzzle, @XeonRisq :)

Thanks for giving the puzzle a try and the great feedback. I think with any unknown constraint, it seems awkward and foreign early on, but a few puzzles solves with it and it becomes more familiar.

Unusual rules. It's hard to keep track of who is friendly. Interesting! Thanks.

Thanks for trying the puzzle and pushing through to completion. Appreciate the solve and the feedback.
I agree with the tracking of the cells, though I found that over time, I got used to each cell's friendly values.
