X-ing Boundaries

I had a lot of fun constructing this one, and I think it ends up being more approachable than you might initially expect! Comments and ratings are much appreciated, and please be sure to check out my other puzzles here.


Rules:

Within the main 9x9 grid, normal sudoku rules apply.

Thermos: Numbers must increase along the thermometer from the bulb to the end.

X-Sums: The numbers outside the grid (most of which need to be found) show the sum of the first X digits from that direction, where X is the first of those digits.

Note: Numbers outside the grid don’t have to adhere to normal sudoku rules (e.g. they can be greater than 9, they can repeat in the row/column, etc.).

This is a fun puzzle to work through -- the logic path is fairly straightforward once you look in the right spots, and there was only one bottleneck that slowed me down considerably.
