Multi-sudoku: Orb 3 - Christmas snORBall

(Published on 20. December 2021, 18:14 by DiMono)

Please enjoy this approachable Christmas snowball.

Fill each 6x6 and 4x4 grid with digits from 1-6 such that within each grid, no digit repeats within a row, column, or box. Which four digits are used in each 4x4 grid must be discovered.

Standard killer cages, x-sums, and little killer rules apply.

Killer Cages: Dashed outlines are cages. Digits within a cage must sum to the number in the top-left corner of the cage, if present, without repeating.

X-Sums: Clues outside the grid that don't have arrows indicate the sum of the first X digits in the row or column, where X is the digit adjacent to the clue.

Little Killer: Clues outside the grid that do have arrows indicate the sum of all digits along the indicated diagonal until the first non-grid space. Digits may repeat along little killer diagonals if allowed by other rules.

Solve on Penpa

Solution code: The column below the 12 little killer clue, from top to bottom (16 digits)

What a constellation of digits !
Quite approchable but the size of the grid made me wander about for a while before I had a general idea of how the grids interacted with each other.
Now I have to try the harder ones !!
