In the grid, the digits "15" may be read left to right, or top to bottom. When they are, it means the word "IS", and they must then have a digit before them and a digit after them in the same orientation in the grid. The former now has the same value as the latter for anything that considers value, instead of their face value. Each digit may only appear in a single IS statement. Example: 6159 left to right or downwards would mean that all 6s in the grid have the value of 9, but not vice versa, and no other IS will have 6 or 9.

In cages, values sum to the small clue in the top left of the cage, if given. Digits cannot repeat within a cage.

Along the thermometer, values must rise or stay equal, increasing from the bulb as you go away from it. Digits cannot repeat along the entire thermo. The position of the bulb on the thermometer must be determined by the solver.
