I'm a middle school math teacher and measures of central tendency have been on my brain lately, so I've been thinking of ways to incorporate them into my puzzles. Little killer clues and arrows seemed like good options! Comments and ratings are much appreciated. Hope you enjoy!
Rules:
Normal sudoku rules apply.
Little Killer: The set of digits along an indicated diagonal must have its mean, median, or mode equal to the given clue.
Arrow: Each circle has three arrows:
1. One of the arrows has the mean of its digits in the circle. This arrow does not have its median nor its mode in the circle.
2. One of the other arrows has the median of its digits in the circle. This arrow does not have its mean nor its mode in the circle.
3. The remaining arrow has the mode of its digits in the circle. This arrow does not have its mean nor its median in the circle.
Some definitions:
Mean: The sum of the digits divided by the amount of digits.
Median: When arranged from least to greatest, the median is the middle digit. If there are two middle digits, then the median is the mean of those two middle digits.
Mode: The most common digit. The mode must appear more than once to be considered a mode. If there is a tie for most common, either digit is valid.
SPOILER ALERT Walkthrough of solution
Puzzle:
Solution code: Enter row 4 and column 3 (18 digits, no spaces)

Wie immer, sehr schönes Rätsel.
Und ich habe einiges gelernt über Mediane und Mittelwerte.
As always, very nice puzzle.
And I learned a lot about medians, means and modes.

Great puzzle mathpesto! After you showed me what I was missing with the rules, it was a very straight-forward solve. Thanks! I wish I could give it 'median' difficulty instead of average. (3stars) :-)
