Equal Sums Thermos (Sudoku)

This is inspired by Isotherms, a puzzle by SSGranor. Normal sudoku rules apply. Digits on a thermometer must strictly increase from the bulb end. Additionally, the digits on a segment of a thermometer contained in one box must have the same sum as the digits on a segment of that same thermometer in another box. The box segments of blue thermometers sum to 9. The box segments of red thermometers sum to 15. The box segment sums of grey thermometers must be determined by the solver, and could be 9, 15, or many other things. I think this puzzle is two stars for difficulty for many solvers, primarily because of the new rule set. Otherwise, it is actually quite approachable. As always, comments welcome!
Solution code: First row of puzzle, and fourth column of puzzle (read top to bottom). Enter as a string of 18 digits, no spaces.

** Ja - das Rätsel, das ich bei dieser Variante gesehen habe, war etwas schwieriger. Aber mir gefiel der Regelsatz, also habe ich ein Einführungsrätsel gemacht. Besten Dank Moses! :-)
