37 Hype - A Great Tribute (multi-variant puzzle)
(Eingestellt am 4. Oktober 2021, 15:57 Uhr von Playmaker6174)
The following puzzle is a special one as it's the tribute to
Rangsk, who just turned 37 in the past few days. Rangsk is a Sudoku enthusiast and a great guide for enhancing stuffs related to Sudoku solvers and discussing puzzles. I made this puzzle as a birthday gift and a great tribute to him for inspiring me to make some more fun puzzles.
Hope everyone enjoy the treat!
(Note: the following rule set here contains various variants so for who isn't familiar with doing puzzle with many many variants, be mindful and read carefully if wanting to solve so)
Rules:
Normal Sudoku rules apply: every row, column and 3x3 box contains digits from 1 to 9 each once.
Normal variant rules apply, including: killer cage, little killer, arrow, white kropki dot, XV, inequality sign, German whisper (green line), Renban (purple line), between line, lockout line.
For explaining each of the variant:
- Killer cage: Digits within a cage can't repeat and must add to the small number written in the top left.
- Little killer: Clue outside the grid shows the total of all digits along the indicated diagonal of that clue (digits can repeat if allowed by other rules).
- Arrow: Digits along an arrow must sum to the digit in the circle cells.
- White kropki dot: Cells connected by a white dot must have consecutive relationship. Not all white dots are given.
- XV: Cells connected by a V sum to 5, cells connected by an X sum to 10. Not all Xs and Vs are given.
- Inequality sign: R7C3 is greater than R7C4.
- German Whisper (green line): adjacent cells along a green line must have a difference of at least 5.
- Renban (purple line): digits along a purple line form a set of non-repeated consecutive digits in any order.
- Between line: Digits along the line that has two circles as its ends must lie between the digits in the circles, i.e. digit in one circle is greater than all digits along the line, while digit in other circle is smaller than all digits along the line.
- Lockout line: Digits in the diamonds (endpoints) must have difference by at least 4; digits along the line must be different than endpoint values and must not fall between them. For example, lockout line that has 4 and 9 as its ends must have either 1,2 or 3 (or more if possible) on the line.
