Sudoku Light Rail

This is another variant using a sudoku train. It is a much simpler ruleset and should be very approachable. Please let me know if you have any feedback or would like additional clarification on any of the rules

Rules:
-
Normal Sudoku rules apply.
-
There is a sudoku train track which forms a single path of of orthogonally adjacent cells. The start and end points of the track are to be determined by the solver. The track's path doesn't touch itself, not even diagonally. The train track spans the entire grid such that every 2x2 grid contains at least 1 track cell.
-
Blue shaded cells are not part of the track. The digit on a blue shaded cell indicates the number of adjacent cells (both orthoganally or diagonally adjacent) which are part of the track
-
The grey shaded lines are level crossings. These act as normal thermometers (digits along them increase starting from the bulb), but as they are level crossings, exactly one cell on the crossing is on the track, and exactly one cell on the crossing is not on the track.
-
Clues outside the grid act as regular skyscraper clues. Each digit represents a skyscraper of that height, with the exception of digits along the train track (see next rule). Clues outside the grid indicate how many skyscrapers can be seen from that side. Taller skyscrapers hide the view of lower ones
-
To make way for the train track, skyscrapers along the track have been demolished. Track cells therefore have a skyscraper height of 0. Height 0 cells block other height 0 cells, so at most 1 height 0 cell can be included in the count for a given skyscraper clue.
Example 6x6:
See below for an example of a 6x6 valid train and skyscraper clues.
Lösungscode: Column 7 from top to bottom, no spaces (e.g. 123456789)

One small comment regarding the wording of the blue shaded cells. I think it would be clearer if you said “both orthogonally and diagonally adjacent” rather than “either orthogonally or diagonally” as the second is disjunctive. Fun puzzle otherwise.

I'm assuming that blue cells can't have a train track on them?
SirSchmoopy - yes! I'm so sorry, apparently I accidentally deleted one of the rules in editing this puzzle before activating it.
