Sum-Product Snake

(Published on 22. July 2021, 08:23 by kolot)

RULES: Normal sudoku rules apply. The grey cells are the head and tail of a one cell wide snake that does not touch itself orthogonally, but may touch diagonally. The cells with a circle or diamond are not snake cells, but are (orthogonally or diagonally) adjacent to at least one snake cell. Circles show the sum, diamonds show the product of the snake cells (orthogonally or diagonally) surrounding them.

It's a miracle that this actually has a unique solution. Every deduction feels undoable until it makes sense.

Loved this! Box 5 was full of nice surprises. This puzzle has inspired me to finish a puzzle with a related rule set that I had set aside.
