This puzzle was supposed to get into the contest. However, since it’s gone, so did Old Miles fund for his own contest, I kind of don’t want to pick the hardest. So instead of four entry, I just need one to move on.

Standard Sudoku rules applies. Fill the grid with numbers from 1 to 9 so each digit occurs exactly once in every row, column and 3x3 box.

The smallest digit, or one of the smallest digit on the arrow has a negative value. The circled digit equals the sum of all digit on the arrow. For instance, (5)124, (6)446

I never solved these two, it’s too frustrating. But I’m showing it anyway. You don’t have to solve it.(why that middle part)

These puzzles are made by Old Miles from China. I told Old Miles and borescoper about this contest the moment I noticed it. By the time I noticed it’s gone, Old Miles already had the forth puzzle ready for my testing. What’s done must be finished. So it took him one day to found the first one. To be honest, I really don’t like this variant. Calculation is just not for me. It’s hard to play test and easy to be denied, which is the reason why until this point Old Miles would only mad e this variant in 6X6(which is what I’m supposed to post). Originally, we want to see if anybody can be a better variant setter than us(highly impossible), in our standard. Comparing the winning three puzzle with Old Miles’ or borescoper’s puzzle would be really fun. Now gone are our competition fund.

As for me, of course I don’t like the contest. Solving one variant for too long is not a good for my health, especially when it’s inherently hard and kind of dull to solve. Old Miles and borscoper are definitely counting on me to decide the quality of other competitors, which means I got to solve them all. At least I got the long arrow, so I’m happy. I hate short arrows. If you want to disagree, solve the last two and tell me otherwise. Anyway, have fun, it shouldn’t be hard right?

comment 2022: i think this is the last time i atually care about setters from this portal. the thing is, i would ask Old Miles to make one even if there's no contest, which is probably why I notice this so soon. i think this is probably the time when i solve a lot puzzles, which lower my tolerence bar to a new low. i guess not solving any puzzls here is a good theorpy.
