(Published on 26. June 2021, 14:41 by CHalb)

Draw at least one closed loop into the grid. Each loop goes in orthogonal or diagonal steps from one cell to a neighbouring next cell and doesn't cross itself. Loops may cross each other. Put a positive integer in each cell. Each cell belongs to exactly one loop and is visited exactly once. The numbers on each loop form in one direction a sequence of at least two consecutive numbers. The loop is made of at least two complete copies of this sequence.

I don't think I'm very smart as I could only really solve this puzzle by semi-blindly guessing possible patterns and trying them out. Is there a definite logical solution path one could follow? If so, I definitely didn't get it haha.

A great concept for a puzzle, enjoyed that one.

Hi Niku, I wanted to answer your question, but it took me some time to solve my own puzzle again. Then I found a mistake in my solving path. So please wait a little longer.

Update: I put a solving path into a hidden comment.

Sortiert, also die aufeinanderfolgenden Zahlen folgen aufeinander. Sonst wäre mein Beispiel ziemlich schlecht gewählt.

on 27. June 2021, 14:04 by uvo

@marcmees: Thank you! And besides my correction I finally saw, that one given should be clearly omitted.

What does "very HP" mean?

"high potential" is exactly what I thought about this puzzle type after it had become clear in my mind. Before accepting this instruction set as standard I took notes for a bunch of variants. I think here is potential for very interesting puzzles and I would be glad if some authors joined me in exploring them.

Oh boy... if this were a bigger puzzle I could see potential for this to be monstrously hard!
