Dotted & Caged Pentominoes

(Published on 10. June 2021, 07:23 by thoughtbyte)

Normal sudoku rules apply. Additionally:

1. The grid must be fully tiled into 16 pentominoes and 1 monomino. Each of the 12 pentominoes must appear at least once, rotated or reflected as necessary, but never sharing an edge with another of its own type. Digits cannot repeat inside a pentomino. Cells that share a cage, a white dot, or a black dot belong to the same pentomino. The single-cell cage is the monomino.

2. White dots join cells with consecutive digits; black dots join cells with a 1:2 ratio. Not all dots are given.

3. On the thermometers, digits must increase from the bulb end.
