25th May is, among other geeky celebrations, "Towel Day", in honour of Douglas Adams' series The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. Here's a puzzle for that.

Rules: Normal Sudoku rules apply. Numbers on thermometers must strictly increase from the "bulb" end. The digits on the marked diagonal must sum to 42. Also, the letters in the grid represent digits. When two cells contain the same letter, they contain the same digit. The digit represented by each letter must be greater than or equal to the digits represented by all letters before it in the alphabet. So different letters can represent the same digit when allowed by the other rules.
