Here's another puzzle in my collection of Sandwich puzzles without givens. If you're interested in others:
This puzzle was inspired one cold winter day when cooking some grilled cheese, and my daughter complained that I didn't cut her sandwich diagonally. And then she complained that her sister's half was bigger...

Hints: This puzzle will likely require some shading of cells, or some chaining pencil marks. What I do (but i solve nearly everything on paper) is write 19's and 91's. This will prove useful multiple times in the solve. Good luck!

The sandwich clues are fairly easy and I enjoyed the endgame logic to disambiguate the grid. Thanks for another innovative and fun puzzle! :-)

No 19-91 pencilmarking necessary - coloring is a much better alternative (and crucial in the endgame). Only 3 stars difficulty for me.

an excellent opportunity to teach your kids the properties of symmetry of a square and as an extension ask your bakery to bake different forms of bread. :-)
Nice puzzle, solves smoothly.

"The sum of the numbers in the cells above the diagonal is equal to the sum of the numbers in the cells below the diagonal." Is this unrelated to the sandwiches? I.e. the 36 digits in the lower-left half sum to the same number as the 36 digits in the upper-right half?
Reply: That is correct. (Hint: You won't have to consider quite that many digits... ;-)
